-The sprint outfit has been established properly and for the first time in three season we don't need to replace captains. Julius and Philbert are the men we are counting on. - 14/9-2014
Those were the words in our prelude for season 30. Since those lines and now, anything but that, has happened.
-Julius Maaskant has been replaced
-Philbert Seaman has been replaced
-Eli Rictor has been sold
-Thannassis Dadakos has been sold
-Pascual Hoero has been sold
-Evan Tomkins has been replaced, for him, though accordingly to the plan.
Many changes starts because of something bad. This was also the case for us. Maybe someone has been reading about a controversial rider named Silvano Fayad on the forum. We won't go into depth, but just say that temmanagement was hugely dissapointed with the outcome of the case. However it has been accepted and something beautiful emerged from what we felt was a wrongdoing.
After the Silvano transfer unexpected was reversed, we for the first time in team history had money on our hands and no plan. The team has always been driven by a very strict longterm planning. A planning that we believe, is the main factor for us being high in the ranks. We have basically never done anything in this game without there being a greater goal in it. That goal ultimately being OCM 1. spot.
Having money and no plans, we now had an oppertunity to do something different. To add some spice to our project. We have always secretly wanted to create a Danish all star team. We know it's not original and we know many others, have done, and do it more whole hearted than we will ever do.
Some of us might remember the American Place brothers. We all know ABK and his fantastic project. Manisaspor making a difference with a very small rider pool to take from. And so on.
What we want to do is simply to give our team a Danish touch. At the same time we have changed our focus away from timetrial in order to focus more on the hill races, which Evan Tomkins showed us and we now can't help but love. We have also dediced that we want to focus more on specialist riders.
Therefore two of the most talented and specialised Danish riders has been brought to the team.
Hans-Erik Qvist the best active Danish sprinter since Lean-Ahnfeldt Mollerup. His role will of course be the sprints and Germany Tour. Qvist has been on our wishlist for many seasons, so we are overly happy that he finally has joined our team.
Uffe Davidsen is a new and still unknown Danish hill sprinter whom we are very proud to have in our team. Davidsen is a specialist that needs a fast finish. Therefore he won't be able to cover the same range of hill races that Evan Tomkins did so well. We have tried to get the best active Danish hiller, Jimmi Broders to the team. But unfortunately Nobodies wouldn't sell. Therefore we had to look to our northern brothers and bring in Norwegian hill prodigy Ingar Vatne. Our belief is that Vatne and Davidsen together can make a big impact on the hill calendar. Maybe even bigger than an new Evan would have been able to. Davidsen likes to sprint from a small group where Vatne likes to attack from a longer distance. A perfect variation to have to select from.
Besides that we still have our great but agening cobbler Sigurd Guldhammer. It would be nice to be able to replace him with one of the other two great Danish cobble names. Time will tell who our new face for the cobbles will be. We could have to look elsewhere since our goal of OCM first spot still reigns higher than our Danish project.
Therefore our fifth captain remains Belgian allarounder Adolphe Marchant, who will both compete in the sprint races and hill races. He will also be our captain for Vuelta Los Castillos. We do believe he has a fair chance of winning the SC.
We are overly excited about our teamchanges and can't wait putting our new captains to use.
A big thanks to:
Pelles Gazelles
Carnap Kickers
Squadra Maglia Nera
Team Tirilla
and Seeds2
for doing business with us and being part of our team changes. Good luck with your new projects.

I aagree. That's also why I am only having a nordic light team. I am very impressed with teams like yours and ABK, that are able to stay so high in the ranking with pure regional projects.
I don`t think being nr 1 in the OCM rank, and have 100% nordic team is two goals that goes easy together. It can be done, but very hard. You put many limitations on your transfers and talent search.
Thanks WonderDee, a very light version of what you are doing :)
Good luck with your project.
I can only say, that your sprint setup surely looks good enough to compete with the best. You might just have the best leadout train out there at the moment and some solid captains.
Yes, it's beginning to look good. I have spent about half now and have bought about half the riders I want. However, I'm not completely sure that it will become good enough to compete for the top spot.
But I do look forward to returning to the top division again.
Thanks Tirilla. You are building quite an impressive team as well. Mathema is really a nice addition, he covers a broad span of races together with my two former captains. 1,7 mil left to splash, you will surely be a top contender very soon.
I see big things happening for the team next season and I can't wait to see just how successful it will be. Now, for the first time, your captains are young with the best part of their careers ahead of them. I hope you finish 1st next season.
:D
Thanks and you too Greenride. I could also have mentioned your old Portugese project or even more your recent Bekooy project. Love it!
Nice and positive reflection. Good luck!
Thanks, you too :)
And good luck:)
Thanks for the mention and thoughts.
